This M8 D-Nut takes an 8mm dowel screw and is used to fix wooden legs and castors to furniture from underneath. Available as an alternative to the T-Nut, and a more effective choice for some projects. For example, if you cannot access the inside of the furniture frame to use the T-Nut on the inside top rail. Further, if the frame is too thick for a T-nut located on the inside top rail and the wooden leg to connect and screw in, then this provides an alternative in that scenario also.
The nut should be screwed as deep as possible into a pre-drilled hole for additional strength. Use an 11mm drill bit for the hole. Use an 8mm hex key to screw in the D-Nut.
Ideal fixing for thick wooden blocks, kitchen table legs, kitchen furniture and divan beds. This is a die cast fixing with a self tapping external thread to secure into the frame, which provides a secure solution for fitting legs and feet to your chairs, sofas, beds and other furniture.
